Adam @adam well what I meant was it would not do any eye-candy like wobbly windows and such. Therefore, can not test. Note that registered members see fewer ads, and ContentLink is completely disabled once you log in. I'll see if I can re-create the pattern/check out the logs to see what's happening that makes it work (if I can get it to do it again).
I changed over to nVidia 7400 video card, did a clean install and the problem is resolved. Booted the computer into Windows XP for a little bit, tried to restart into Ubuntu. Failed To Initialize The Nvidia Gpu At Pci:1:0:0. I now use pci ethernet with disabled onboard ethernet I will probably end up skipping Intrepid upgrade due to this bug. I tryed adding rcutree.rcu_idle_gp_delay=1 to my kernal boot parameters but like with bug #570 it did not work.

So, for your convenience, I have worked out the patches that are needed from a 'vanilla' nvidia sources checkout, and I have personally tested and verified they work on Kernel 3.13 This is most likely because the driver for your graphics card has not been installed.
